Is the home appointment free?
Yes. The Village Blinds and Shutters home appointment is free. We bring suitable samples, discuss the project and professionally measure the windows so a quotation can be prepared around the specification you choose.
What is the difference between 1–10 blinds and 10+ blinds / new build?
The 1–10 route is intended for most smaller blind projects and allows around 30 minutes. Choose 10+ blinds / new build where there are more windows, several rooms or a larger whole-home project so more time is available for measuring and comparing options.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before the appointment?
No. It helps to know what matters most — for example privacy, light, darkness, ease of use or a particular look — but part of the appointment is narrowing the suitable options with you.
When should I book for a new build or renovation?
The windows should be installed and surrounding finishes that can affect accurate measuring should be complete. This commonly includes plastering and nearby tiling, skirting or architrave. If you are unsure whether the project is ready, call the booking team first.
Will I receive a quotation?
For many projects, pricing can be prepared during the appointment. More bespoke or technically complex projects can require additional specification or pricing checks before the final quotation is issued.
