An apartment and a four-bedroom house should not get the same window plan

Current Weavers Gate availability includes two-bedroom apartments as well as the three-bedroom Marant and four-bedroom Balmain. The wider development also contains detached, semi-detached and townhouse house types. That variety is more useful to us than a generic “new-build” label because it tells us how much of the property you may want to tackle at once.

Tell us the house type when you book If you know you are moving into a Balmain, Marant, Sander, Halston or another named Weavers Gate layout, include it in your notes. We still measure every relevant opening, but it gives the consultant useful context before arriving.
If you are buying an apartment

Keep the specification simple, useful and consistent

In a two-bedroom apartment there are fewer windows to solve, so it often makes sense to spend more time getting the operation and fabric right rather than creating unnecessary product variation.

  • Prioritise privacy in the main living space.

Do not let the rest of the house dictate the bedroom specification

A bedroom blind has a different job from a living-room blind. In the Balmain, Marant or any of the three- and four-bedroom layouts, it is perfectly sensible to use a different product upstairs while keeping the colours coordinated.

  • Choose blackout fabric where sleep is the main priority.
  • Compare cellular blinds if you want a softer, compact alternative.
  • For a guest room or home office, adjustable slats may be more useful than blackout.
  • Measure only once the actual window opening and surrounding finishes are complete enough for an accurate fit.
