Cumber View · Claudy
The homes at Cumber View combine clean white exteriors, tall dark-framed windows and a more traditional village setting just off Upper Main Street.
Indoors, that mix makes light control important without needing to hide the windows. The most useful approach is usually to keep the front elevation feeling crisp, then vary the blind or shutter by how each room is actually used.
Tall windows & clean elevations
The combination of white render, dark frames and tall narrow openings gives the houses a very clean frontage. Inside, those windows bring useful daylight into living rooms, bedrooms and secondary spaces.
A neat fitted blind can control the room without making the window feel smaller or interrupting that stronger vertical shape.
Different rooms can take different products while the overall home still feels coordinated through colour, texture and frame finish.
Living room
In a front living room, a roller blind gives a simple way to change the privacy level without adding much visual weight around the window.
A softer neutral fabric works particularly well against the black frames and white walls, keeping the room calm while still allowing the window itself to stand out.
Cumber View now
Cumber View is an established Fyth development just off Upper Main Street in Claudy. Current Phase 3 listings focus on larger detached homes, with Type K and Type L offering five bedrooms and Type M offering six bedrooms.
A larger family layout means bedrooms, reception spaces and work-from-home rooms can all have different requirements while still needing one coherent finish.
Multiple living and sleeping spaces make it useful to consider privacy, blackout and fabric colour together rather than room by room in isolation.
With more rooms to cover, whole-home planning helps avoid unnecessary duplication while still allowing feature treatments in the spaces where they add the most.
Kitchen & dining
A bright kitchen and dining space can feel very different from breakfast time to early evening. Day & Night blinds give more control than a simple fully-open or fully-closed position.
The alternating fabric can soften glare while keeping part of the view, then move towards greater privacy later in the day.
Bedrooms
The taller black-framed bedroom windows can take a little more softness without losing their shape. Roman blinds bring in texture and can be lined for better light control at night and early in the morning.
Other bedrooms can use roller or cellular blinds in related tones, so the house still feels considered without repeating the same treatment everywhere.
Light, outlook & aspect
Cumber View sits above the Faughan Valley with views towards the North Sperrins, so not every window needs the same level of daytime screening.
That makes room-by-room planning useful: more privacy where the house faces neighbouring properties, and lighter treatments where the outlook is more open.
Study / spare room
Larger homes often end up with a bedroom that also works as an office or study. Cellular blinds are a useful fit because they soften glare while keeping the window looking clean and compact.
If the room becomes a full-time bedroom later, the same treatment still works without needing the space to be redesigned around the blind.
Whole-home planning
Looking at the property as one project makes it easier to coordinate colour, fabric and frame finish while still allowing the products to change by room.
At Cumber View, that could mean a cleaner roller in the living room, Day & Night blinds in the kitchen, Roman blinds in the main bedroom and cellular blinds in a study or guest room.

Free home appointment
For several rooms or most of the house, the New Build appointment gives enough time to look at the windows together. If the project is specifically shutters, the dedicated shutter appointment is the better fit.
