The Impact of Your Support

By attending this event, you’re doing more than just enjoying a tasty snack – you’re making a direct impact on the lives of people living with cancer. Donations raised through Macmillan Coffee Mornings across the country help fund a range of services provided by Macmillan Cancer Support. This includes specialist cancer nurses, helplines, counselling, and practical advice for patients and their families.

Since its inception in 1990, the Macmillan Coffee Morning has grown to become one of the UK’s most beloved charity events. It’s a time for communities to come together, have fun, and raise much-needed funds for a cause that touches so many lives. Last year alone, thousands of coffee mornings were held across the UK, raising millions of pounds to support the three million people living with cancer in the UK today.

Village Blinds and Shutters: Supporting Our Community

Here at Village Blinds and Shutters, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for so many years. Hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning is just one of the ways we’re doing our part to support local and national causes that make a difference. We are proud to be part of the Ballymena community and are excited to see as many of you as possible at our event.

It’s events like these that remind us of the strength of community spirit, and we hope that this year’s Coffee Morning will be bigger and better than ever before. Not only does this event provide an opportunity to raise funds for Macmillan, but it’s also a great chance for us to connect with the wonderful people of Ballymena.

More Than Just a Coffee Morning

While coffee and cake are certainly the stars of the show, the Macmillan Coffee Morning is about so much more. It’s a time to share stories, celebrate life, and remember those we’ve lost to cancer. It’s a moment to reflect on how far cancer support has come, and how much further we can go with the continued efforts of organisations like Macmillan Cancer Support.

You’ll also have the chance to learn more about Macmillan’s vital work, from the incredible stories of people who have benefitted from their support to the wide range of services they provide. We’ll have information available for anyone interested in finding out more about Macmillan’s work or ways to support them beyond the Coffee Morning.

Can’t Make It? You Can Still Support!

If you can’t join us on the day, you can still make a difference! Macmillan accepts donations online, so you can support their incredible work anytime. Just head to their website and make a donation, knowing that every pound you give helps to ensure people affected by cancer get the care and support they need.

Alternatively, if you’d like to host your own Macmillan Coffee Morning, it’s easier than you think! You can find all the resources you need on the Macmillan website, including invitations, posters, and ideas for making your event a success.

Join Us and Make a Difference

Don’t miss out on this chance to support a cause that changes lives. We would love to see you at Village Blinds and Shutters on Friday, 18th October for a day of community, coffee, and cake. Let’s come together to show our support for Macmillan Cancer Support and help make a difference for the millions of people living with cancer.

Village Blinds and Shutters Home Appointments FAQ

Not sure what to expect? Here are the most common questions about booking a free home appointment with Village Blinds and Shutters.

One of our design consultants will visit your home during your chosen time slot. They will discuss what you need, measure your windows, talk through suitable blinds or shutters, and provide a quotation based on your choices.

A 1–10 blinds appointment usually takes around 30 minutes. Larger blinds appointments and shutter appointments usually take around 60 minutes, depending on the number of windows and the level of advice needed.

Please make sure there is clear access to the windows being measured. If possible, move any furniture, ornaments or breakables away from the window area before your appointment.

For the most accurate measurements, it is best to book once your windows are in and plastering has been completed. Ideally, skirting and architrave close to the windows should also be finished before blinds are installed.

In many cases, your design consultant can provide your quotation during the appointment. For more bespoke projects, pricing may take a little longer. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours, please contact our team and we will check this for you.

Lead times vary depending on the product, materials and production schedule. Your design consultant will give you the most up-to-date timescale when you place your order.

Village Blinds and Shutters offers free home appointments across Northern Ireland, including Ballymena, Belfast, Bangor, Armagh, Strabane and surrounding areas.

Our design consultants aim to arrive within your scheduled time slot, but traffic or other unforeseen delays can occasionally happen. If you have any concerns about your appointment, please call our booking team on 0800 059 0747.

You can choose a morning, midday or afternoon appointment slot. This gives your design consultant enough time to travel between appointments and spend the right amount of time advising, measuring and quoting for your project.
