A central tilt rod is the traditional style for Tier on Tier Plantation Shutters. This tilt rod is attached to the panel in the centre and runs vertically down the louvred slats. This ensures that when you move the slats they will all move together. Often this is a popular choice for more traditional style homes.

A hidden tilt is the more modern variation for a Tier on Tier Plantation Shutter. Rather than having the tilt rod run down the centre, it is positioned at the backside of the panel. Only took a week from ordering to fitting and the finished job is excellent. Fitted quickly and very well. Got blinds for 2 teenagers rooms (who in fairness wouldn't usually notice if you changed their whole room 🤣) but got a text message the day after they were fitted to say what a game changer the black out blinds were as they didn't surface until 1pm🤦. Full Height Plantation Shutters are also great at keeping light out. As they are full height panels they can be closed and the slats shut. This will eliminate much of the light coming into your room.

Tier on Tier Shutters are a more flexible option for adding both style and functionality to your windows. The advantage of plantation shutters is that they are a sturdy choice built into the recess

The main advantage of choosing Café Style over Full Height is that you allow more light in from above without sacrificing privacy or allowing glare at eye level. Making them very popular in towns and cities.

Is the home appointment really free?

Yes. Your home appointment is completely free. It gives you the opportunity to discuss your project, see suitable options in your own home, have your windows professionally measured and receive a quotation.

Do I need to know which blind or shutter I want?

No. That is one of the reasons for the appointment. Your design consultant can help narrow the options around the room, privacy, light control, style and how you use the space.

How long will the appointment take?

Allow around 30 minutes for 1–10 blinds and around 60 minutes for larger blind projects, new builds and plantation shutters. The exact time will depend on the number of windows and how many options you would like to consider.

Do you cover my area?

We carry out free home appointments across Northern Ireland. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, call our team on 0800 059 0747 and we can check for you.

Will I receive a quotation?

Yes. Once your design consultant has measured your windows and discussed the options you are interested in, we can provide a quotation based on your chosen products and specification.

What happens after I book?

You’ll receive confirmation of your appointment. Your design consultant will then visit your home during the time window you selected, discuss what you are looking for and professionally measure the relevant windows.
