As we step into the new year, the art of home design takes a beautiful turn toward nature, embracing colours that soothe, inspire, and connect us to the world around us. At Village Blinds and Shutters, we’re excited to share our favourite 2025 colour trends of nature-inspired colours that promise to revitalise your interiors. From verdant greens to rich wine reds, these colours can help create tranquil, elegant, and welcoming spaces. Let’s explore the hues set to redefine homes in the UK for the year ahead.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Modern UK living room with a large window dressed in a sage green roller blind, grey sofa with matching cushions, wooden coffee table with a vase of eucalyptus, and soft natural light creating a warm, nature-inspired ambience.

Natural Home Interior Design Inspiration

Embracing nature in your interiors doesn’t mean surrendering your home to a jungle (unless that’s what you want!). Instead, it’s about curating your space with warmth, life, and freshness that align with your lifestyle and taste. Whether you opt for subtle herbaceous tones or bold, earthy hues, incorporating natural elements into your design can create a harmonious balance that feels both vibrant and calming. It’s about bringing the outside in—on your terms.

Colour Trends Inspired By Nature

1. Verdant Greens: Calm Meets Nature

The timeless appeal of green continues to dominate as we gravitate towards colours that evoke growth and renewal. Whether it’s the soothing undertone of sage or the fresh vitality of eucalyptus, verdant greens are a natural choice for creating serene living spaces.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Modern UK living room with sage green walls, a grey sofa with matching cushions, a wooden coffee table, and natural light streaming through white curtains.

Sage Green:

This soft, earthy shade conjures the scent of herb gardens. Sage green adds a gentle sophistication to both modern and classic homes. It pairs beautifully with neutral blinds or white shutters, creating an airy, balanced look.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Rustic UK kitchen with thyme green walls, wooden shelves lined with jars, a copper pot hanging above a butcher block counter, and a thyme green Roman blind.

Thyme Green:

Deeper and more robust, thyme green offers a warm embrace, reminiscent of a lush kitchen herb garden. This shade works perfectly in cosy living rooms with wood accents and textured fabrics.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Contemporary UK bathroom with eucalyptus green walls, a freestanding white bathtub, frosted window with eucalyptus branches in a vase, and minimalist décor.

Eucalyptus Green:

With its silvery, almost frosted undertone, eucalyptus green feels contemporary and refreshing. Ideal for minimalist interiors, this shade shines when paired with sleek white window shutters that amplify light and space.

2. Lavender and Heather: Floral Sophistication

Infused with soft floral undertones, lavender and heather hues are perfect for spaces where relaxation and elegance meet. These shades channel the beauty of wildflower fields and rolling moorlands into your home.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Tranquil UK bedroom with lavender walls, a white bed with lavender throw, a vintage nightstand with a lavender plant in a terracotta pot, and soft natural lighting.

Lavender:

A peaceful and uplifting colour, lavender walls paired with delicate Roman blinds in soft white create a calming sanctuary. Its subtle energy is ideal for bedrooms or reading nooks.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Cosy UK sitting room with heather-coloured walls, a matching velvet armchair, a fireplace mantle adorned with dried heather, and a vintage clock.

Heather:

A touch more intense than lavender, heather adds depth to walls or fabrics. Accentuate this shade with plush throws or curtains in complementary neutral tones for a sense of opulence.

The spice-inspired tone of cinnamon adds a cosy, homely feel to living areas. This shade, when paired with textured roller blinds, creates a tactile and inviting space.

4. Oceanic Blues: Refreshing Tranquility

Inspired by the vastness of the ocean, aqua, turquoise, and amazonite blues bring a sense of serenity and depth to interiors.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Bright UK bathroom with aqua blue walls, a large mirror framed in white, an aqua Roman blind, and a vase of fresh white flowers on the sink.

Light and crisp, aqua blue feels like a splash of fresh coastal air. It pairs wonderfully with natural materials like linen curtains or bamboo blinds for a breezy, casual vibe.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - UK conservatory with turquoise cushions on rattan chairs, lush greenery, and sunlight creating vibrant shadows on the turquoise fabric and rattan texture.

2025 Colour Trends: Nature-Inspired Shades for Your Home - Elegant UK dining room with claret red walls, a dark oak dining table adorned with a centrepiece of red and white flowers, and soft candlelight.

Village Blinds and Shutters Home Appointments FAQ

Our design consultant will arrive at the agreed time slot and ask you questions about your requirements and style preferences to help understand your project. They will measure your windows and discuss fabric/material options and provide you with a quotation based on your choices.

Depending on your requirements, a home appointment can take from 30 minutes for 1-10 blinds, to 60 minutes for 10+ blinds or window shutters. Our design consultant will work at your pace and we’re happy to stay longer to talk through your options and provide advice if you’d like.

We would ask ahead of the home appointment that you have arranged clear access to the window areas being measured and that any obstructing furniture or breakables near the windows are removed.

Once the windows are in, plastering has been completed and any tiling or skirting or architrave that might be close to the blinds has been installed. This will allow our design consultant to take accurate measurements.

Usually, our design consultant will be able to provide you with your quotation during your appointment.  Sometimes for some very bespoke projects pricing can take a little longer. If you haven’t heard back within 24 hours, give them a call or email and they will keep you updated.

Our production team work tirelessly to craft every single blind and shutter for our customers individually. Lead in times can vary depending on factors such as material availability and our production schedule. That being said we will always work to get your order as quickly as possible. Ask your design consultant for an up-to-date lead time estimate.
